Insta ANR - Active Noise Reduction for Aviation and Demanding Environments Noise is a common problem especially in military aviation. Cabin noise levels often exceed safe exposure levels and noise degrades pilot performance. Lowered noise levels reduce the risk of hearing damage, improve radio and intercom intelligibility and improve aircrew performance. Insta ANR provides up to 30 dB of low frequency attenuation and the system can attenuate frequencies down to 30 Hz. The attenuation and frequency response of Insta ANR can be adjusted to suit the application, the noise environment and even a specific user. Insta ANR is a direct fit to JHMCS and HGU-55 style flight helmets and can be adapted to many different flight helmets. Insta ANR is in use in Finnish Airforce F/A-18 fleet. Saab has selected Insta ANR to the new Gripen E/F flight helmet. IPBAM - Insta Pilot's Breath Air Monitor Insta Pilot's Breath Air Monitor is a hypoxia early warning system that reduces the risk of physiological events (PE's). IPBAM alerts the user in low oxygen or pressure conditions by haptic indication to the breathing mask and by visual indication on the IPBAM main unit. IPBAM is in fleet use in Finnish Airforce F/A-18 fleet. IPBAM has been tested in USAF F-16 and USN F-18. IPBAM is currently being evaluated in the T-6 STOPS program.
